Spanner or Screwdriver? Just fix it!

I think sometimes we can get caught up in focusing on the wrong things when it comes to mental well-being, and that is, “what technique do you use?”

If there were one magic way, we'd all follow it right? And mental health challenges would be a thing of the past! (that’s the goal!)

Unfortunately, they're not, mental health challenges are real.

I believe there are many ways to help. My way is just one way. It’s a combination of all the things that worked for me.

My focus is simply put, "helping clients achieve the results that they want" (not what I want!)

The types of "problems" of my clients typically fall into one of two high-level buckets.

- "I want to get clarity on who I am and what I want in life"

- "Why do I feel the way I do? Can you help me shift it, as I can't see a way through"

Both of these problems are interconnected and, when left unchecked, will impact your mental health. Based on my last decade of experience, when you work on these, you can get permanently improved mental well-being.

I want to be realistic, so yes, it will take time; however, we have the time to resolve these issues permanently. Or you can keep repeating the same patterns, thoughts and having the same unwanted feelings?

Given the time people have typically had their problem, is it a surprise there will be time and dedication required to resolve them?

Don’t believe the hype around “short term quick fixes”. Permanent change requires time and commitment. Like any worthwhile goal.

How we achieve those results, the qualifications, the techniques, that's just all smoke and mirrors, results are what clients pay for, results are what I have a duty of care to deliver.

The how isn't important if you're prepared to see things differently and dedicated to showing up and doing the work. I take care of the how.

If you're keen to shift some of the problems you have perceived as permanent or have no idea how to answer, reach out.

I'd love to help.

Cheers, James
