Hidden Struggles / Hidden Success

Six months ago, I shared openly on LinkedIn for the first time about my hidden struggles and my hidden success. My journey from 2 decades of bouts of depression to sustainable mental well-being for the last 10 years. I also shared about my 5+ years as a coach helping people take the same journey. It was liberating for me—and both were a surprise for many who “knew” me. My close friends and family were aware of my history of depression, as were some of my colleagues. Many of these people were also aware of my coaching. The two were interconnected. During my forced sabbatical (lol) from the corporate job I loved, I spent the last six months doing more of this work—coaching more, supporting more, and learning more - it never ends. During this time I’ve spoken on here about mindset, resilience, self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and the ways we hold ourselves back. It’s been liberating and refreshing to see the response I have got. However, 99% of these responses are in private messages as many people do not wish to be seen on LinkedIn as “struggling”. And I get it. For years, I felt shame about my struggles. I saw them as weaknesses, believing that coping—just getting through—was the only way forward. My mission is to help others with their unseen battles. I want to support those who feel trapped by their struggles, stuck in their overwhelm. To create space for real conversations about mental health challenges and provide a pathway from it. I know now that transformation begins the moment we allow ourselves to be fully seen—when we step into authenticity, self-reflection, and alignment with what truly matters. It's possible. It takes time. It’s worth it.
Dr. John Demartini teaches that our deepest voids often shape our highest values. The very struggles we try (in vain!) to suppress often hold the key to our purpose.
This is true for me. My journey from depression to sustainable mental well-being is one I am driven to take others on.
So if this resonates with you—if you’re on your own journey of self-discovery, inner healing, and personal growth—I invite you to connect with me. Let’s have the real conversations. Let’s do the work.
